Across the United States, thousands of mothers and fathers have been pushed to the edges of their children’s lives—not because they committed crimes, but because family-court systems, false accusations, and bureaucratic power made them suspects instead of parents.
Project EXILE investigates how parenthood itself is being criminalized.
We track the pattern that turns ordinary custody disputes into police matters, transforms protective orders into permanent punishments, and treats family love as evidence of guilt.

To expose how civil institutions are erasing parents through criminalization, coercive control, and government overreach—and to defend the constitutional right to raise one’s child without fear of the state.
Project EXILE combines data journalism, legal analysis, and lived experience to document:

- Parallel Prosecutions that convert family petitions into criminal cases
- Procedural Injustice inside ex parte hearings and contempt rulings
